Wedding Update

Photobucket
Saturday offically marked 6 months until the wedding.  I spent the weekend stuffing our save the dates (more on those later) into envelopes and triple checking that every address was correct.
Looks like Bojangles wanted in on the action.
Finally stamped and ready to go out!

Also I wanted to give a huge thank you to my photographer, Celeste Marshall.  She just started a new business of hand addressing; I have horrible penmanship and Celeste was so great and helped me out last minute with our save the date envelopes.  She did an amazing job and was so patient- I was constantly sending her new lists and corrections of old lists.  If you need anything addressed our written, I highly recommend her.  Here are some examples of her work.  You can find her online at: http://handaddressedbyceleste.com/

This is similar to what she did for our save the dates.

Fashion Friday: Inspiring Interiors

Has anyone seen the front cover of Elle Decor?  This library designed by Timothy Haynes and Kevin Roberts exudes glamour.  I love everything about this room especially the lacquered purple walls; maybe it is because I had ADD as I child but shiny things still do it for me!  And that coffee table designed by Mattia Nonetti?  Have you ever seen anything like it before?!  I blogged about green on Monday but today I am having an aubergine moment.  Feeling inspired by this beautiful shade, I decided to devote Fashion Friday to this stunning color.  Enjoy!

If I had this bathroom...

Photobucket

This bathroom designed by David Jimenez featured in House Beautiful is one of my all-time favorite bathrooms.  I love how fresh and bright this room is and the Calacatta Gold marble on the counters and floors  is heaven!  And if you know me then you know that I can never resist white subway time.  Seamus and I don't share a bathroom- never have- the last time I shared a bathroom with a boy was back in the 90's with my brother and that was enough.  I really love having a spot in the house that is just mine where I can relax and unwind and be unabashedly girly.  So, if money were no object this is what I would want my bathroom to look like and I would stock it with all of these amazing things: a cashmere robe to put on while I am getting ready, fuzzy slippers to keep my feet warm and tons of fresh flowers, bath products, beauty products and candles.  What would you stock in your dream bathroom?

Green...with envy

Photobucket
Photobucket
I'm having a green moment and apparently, these gorgeous ladies are as well.  I love how they went all out with this color, not using it as a little pop of color but as the main focus of their outfits.  I always thought emerald green looked so good on brunettes, but after seeing this picture of Gwyneth Paltrow at the Bambi awards in Germany, I'm starting the think that it is universally flattering.  I also love this color green with Leopard, a la Kate Middleton, but it also looks amazing with fawn or gold-colored purses and shoes.  So here are my green outfits- day to night.  Tell me: are you embracing this green trend?

Fashion Friday

Seamus and I have a quiet little weekend planned and I for one could not be more excited.  I am going to meet up with some friends at the American Visionary Art Museum in downtown Baltimore for brunch and then to tour the museum.  I'm hoping that we go for Indian for date night and on Sunday I think we might go tot he Baltimore Zoo.  These are the outfits that I wish I would be wearing but I will probably just be wearing my down jacket and boots because it is getting cold out there!  I love it.
Hope you have a good weekend!

If we went here I would pack this...

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that my mom and I attended a party at Hickory Chair.  The party was catered by Blackberry Farm - they had absolutely delicious cheeses, dried sausages and assorted chutneys- in one word- heaven!  I looked them up online and realized that there was more to this "farm" than just good food, it is also a beautiful luxury hotel nestled right in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains of eastern Tennessee.  The place looks so serene and peaceful but its not just all about relaxing.  You can take cooking classes, gardening classes, go horseback riding, go on hikes, do yoga, go fly fishing, go shooting- basically my perfect weekend (minus the shooting - I will leave that for Seamus) all the while taking in the beautiful scenery.  Where can I sign up??!!
 Their amazing garden
"Blackberry Farm's dining venue, The Barn, creates our magical epicurean experience, that has been featured in Food & Wine, Gourmet and Bon Appétit. The multi-course, beautifully served menus are inspired by seasonal, farm-fresh products and produce, grown just a few feet away."  - from blackberryfarm.com

 I can do this...
 While Seamus does this.

 Precious!
This room looks so cozy and inviting.
Another amazing guest room.
